Trellis is a contemporary arts and crafts workshop based in the Baltic Triangle, Liverpool. The brief asked for a brand and space for likeminded artists to work and grow together. The contemporary Arts and Crafts movement was lead by the late, great designer and architect William Morris in the late 1800's. His flagship design 'the trellis' was inspired by the garden feature itself, a structure specifically designed to support the growth of flora. And so, Trellis was born. An arts and crafts workshop supporting the growth of the contemporary crafts community.
Not only does the logo combine the overlapping corner of a trellis' cross-hatch, the logo's geometric shapes are carried through the rollout in the form of a structured pattern, representing the supportive community of creatives to which Trellis is home.
